A balanced stay

central locationkitchen facilitiesfrayed carpetdodgy lock
The location was central, close to shops and eateries. Check-in was easy with the provided code. I found the room to be a good size. It also included some useful kitchen facilities like cutlery and crockery.
The carpet on the stairs seemed frayed. I also noticed the lock on the door was dodgy. The windows looked like they could use a clean. The bathroom had few toiletries available.

Convenient Town Stay

central locationsimplified check-incomfortable room
The location was central to everything. Key code entry simplified the check-in process a lot. The room's size was adequate for a comfortable stay, which I appreciated.
The room lacked a bit of sound insulation, so street noise was noticeable at times.
Facilities
9/10
There was free car parking available in the town centre car park after 4pm until 10pm. The car park was unrestricted from 6pm until 8am which helped with parking. Kitchen facilities were provided, including cutlery and crockery.
Dining
8/10
A Greggs was located across the road, offering convenient options. The Knowes Eatery and Coffee House is nearby. I had a nice cooked breakfast there.
Rooms
9/10
The room included a fridge, a microwave, and a kettle which were useful. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable which was a plus.
Location
10/10
The guesthouse is situated in the town centre. It is surrounded by shops, pubs, and eateries. Floors Castle is within easy reach.
Service
10/10
The check-in was straightforward with keys available in a lockbox. This process allowed for a flexible arrival time. No interaction with staff was needed.

The location was great, providing easy access to nearby amenities.
The bathroom required refurbishment. The toilet seat was chipped and the shower sealant needed replacing. The absence of toiletries was a letdown.
